Sometimes you stumble across old files, forgotten ideas or songs that remind you of the beginning. “Bouncy Ball 7” was actually my very first song, which I wrote and released in 2016.
Don’t ask about the name – it just popped into my head. It’s complete rubbish, but somehow it stuck. 😄
Bouncy Ball 7 (2016 Version)
Back then, I recorded the track live, using an electric guitar and an Akai sampler, which cost a whopping £800 at the time. I sold it ages ago, but back then it was simply brilliant (and, to be honest, also pretty complicated, hehe).
Today, my setup looks completely different: I work with FL Studio, lots of exciting plugins and, of course, AI support, which makes producing a lot easier.
And that’s exactly why I brought out “Bouncy Ball 7” again – remixed, reimagined, but with the same old heartbeat. This resulted in two completely new versions:
🎸 A folklore/medieval version – with organic sounds, a touch of nostalgia and a campfire feel.
Bouncy Ball (Folk Version)
🌀 A psychedelic techno version – driving, hypnotic and electronic, but with some sound structures still originating from the original.
Bouncy Ball (Psychedelic Hardbass)
Both are completely different, but they share the same spirit – the spirit from back when it all began. If you feel like it, you are welcome to have a listen.
